In addition to time spent as a performer, Jeff is a dedicated educator, having spent three years teaching in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at Mekane Yesus College, Yared School of Music, and the Jazzamba School of Music programs. Jeff’s teaching philosophy for jazz is wide in scope, but rooted in tradition- borrowing ideas from Barry Harris, Lennie Tristano, Bach, and many other world music influences.
