Saturday College Prep Program (Winter/Early Spring)
The NYJA® Saturday College Prep Program offers a fully immersive opportunity for aspiring music majors to delve deeply into jazz style, improvisation, and theory. Classes meet for 4 hours on Saturdays (placements are 12pm-3:50pm and 2pm-5:50pm) and include theory sections and small and large ensemble studies for instrumentalists; vocal techniques classes, theory sections, and ensemble studies for vocalists. Performances/concerts are integrated throughout the year.
